On behalf of the Los Angeles Chapter of ISSA, the Board and ISSA LA members thank you for registering to attend the 2nd Annual Information Security Summit next week on Wednesday, June 16, 2010! We're confident that you will find this to be an exciting and valuable event.
 
Below is additional information that will help you enjoy a successful day at the Summit.
 
Directions/Parking
The Summit is being held on the UCLA campus in the Covel Commons building in the Grand Horizon Ballroom. If you are driving, the best way to get to the building is to exit the 405 Freeway at Sunset Blvd and then onto Bellagio Drive. After you enter the UCLA campus, you will turn left on De Neve Drive. You will then see a parking structure SV on your right (the second parking structure, which is after the tennis courts.) There will be attendants there until 10:00 am to issue your parking pass.

Note: If you arrive after 10:00 am, you will need to proceed to the parking Kiosk on Westwood Blvd North of LeConte to purchase parking.

Covel Commons is adjacent to the parking structure. The Grand Horizon Ballroom is on the 3rd floor. There will be volunteers and signs posted, and we suggest leaving a few minutes extra to park, walk to the building and go through the registration line.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  There is a lot of construction currently going on at Sunset and the 405, so we strongly suggest you allow an additional 30 minutes more travel time than you normally would to get to UCLA in the morning.
 
Registration
Registration opens at 7:30 am. When you arrive please go through the registration line to let us know you've arrived. You will receive a lanyard and badge, Summit conference bag, the Summit brochure, and 2 drink tickets. If you want to be eligible for 8 CPE credits, you MUST ensure we have your CISSP number and a signature by your name on the roster. ISSA LA will submit all CISSP #'s to ISC2 after the conference.

There are several tracks with presentation focused on a specific audience:
 
- C-level Track: These two presentations are designed for Executives, Business Leaders, CEOs, COOs, CFOs, Managing Partners and other non-technical decision makers with top-level management responsibility for information security and for compliance with information privacy laws and regulations, together with their Trusted Advisors.

Note: This presentation is in 2 Parts, starting at 9:50am and ending by 12:00pm with a 15 minute break in between. This is a half day conference for those who registered as executives.
 
- IT Track: Technology Leaders: CIOs, Technical Managers and other IT professionals with responsibility for maintaining the IT infrastructure of an organization and the data it contains
 
- Information Security Track: InfoSec leaders, CISOs and other information security practitioners having day-to-day responsibility for ensuring the security of sensitive information, together with those responsible for auditing systems security.
Note: Both morning Information Security Tracks will be held on the 2nd Floor Study Lounge in Covel Commons.

If you'd like to be introduced to someone in particular, please don't hesitate to contact one of the board members for an introduction. We'd be pleased to assist in growing your network of resources.
 
Raffle prizes
To be eligible for ISSA LA raffle prizes during Cocktail Hour, you MUST fill out the Bingo cards and the evaluation survey and pass them in. (Vendors are not eligible to win prizes)
During the cocktail hour and after the vendor's raffles, there will be several raffle prizes given by ISSA LA. You MUST be present to win any prizes.
